Hello! My name is Jareth McGhee. I am a professional software developer with experience in systems languages, user interface development, and Web technologies. I also enjoy programming in my free time, as well as gaming and photography. In fact, most of the things I enjoy can be found right here on this website!

I am the sole administrator of Jareth McGhee's Personal Site. Everything here is—to some degree—made, designed, or selected by me. As such, it is a decent (although incomplete) representation of my ideas and interests. For an example, one can look to my photography. Organizing them by date and little else, I try to respect the existence of the photos themselves over anything more specific than their provenance. Most don't even have titles! It is far more important to me for the work to exist at all than for it to exist in a perfectly curated state. This site is ultimately about me and how my work relates to me, rather than about the work itself.

There is, however, one thing I wish to emphasize above all else: Freedom. I provide the work on my site for free access and use by all. I want to empower others to exercise the rights they deserve. A right unused is no right at all.
